Birmingham Translation Services translates academic transcripts, mark sheets and supporting qualification documents for students and graduates. We help Birmingham clients prepare readable records for university admissions, employers and qualification assessment organisations, with certification where the receiving organisation requires it.

A transcript explains what you studied and the results you achieved. It is different from a degree certificate, which records the award itself. An application may require both. We can translate school, college and university records, including semester results, module lists, credit totals and accompanying grading information.
Please include all pages and any key printed on the reverse. Abbreviations, resits, exemptions, distinctions and attendance notes can affect how a reader understands the record. Translating only the headline grades may leave out information the assessor needs.
Our translation preserves the grades, credit values and dates shown in the source. Course and module titles are translated consistently, while the layout helps the reader match each result to the original entry. A grading scale or explanatory note should be included rather than replaced with an assumed UK equivalent.
Translation does not convert a qualification into a UK award or decide its academic equivalence. That assessment belongs to the university, employer or relevant assessment body. If you need a UK ENIC Statement of Comparability, check the current UK ENIC document requirements, including whether its Translation Waiver Service applies to your language.
Where requested, we provide a certified translation with a written accuracy statement and translator identification. Tell us who will receive the documents: an admissions office may have different submission instructions from a professional registration body or qualification assessor.
Send any instructions about electronic documents, hard copies, signatures or institution-issued records. A translation cannot replace a missing official transcript, and you may need to request a complete copy from the awarding institution before we begin.
Birmingham students and graduates can request a quotation online without visiting an office. We will confirm the scope, price and expected delivery before proceeding. If you need several documents translated, sending the complete set helps us maintain consistent names and qualification terminology.
No. A transcript records subjects, grades and often credits. A degree certificate records the qualification awarded. Check whether your application requires one or both.
No. The translation preserves the source grades and explains the wording shown on the document. Grade conversion and qualification equivalence are separate assessments.
Check UK ENIC’s current instructions. Certified translations may be required for documents not in English, while its Translation Waiver Service covers some languages and applications.
